Day vs. Extended Day Tennis Camp: What’s the Difference?

Several young tennis campers watch on as a player practices his tennis strokes at camp.

Enjoy the “sport of a lifetime” by joining us for an adidas Tennis Camp this summer! We’re proud to offer camps in 19 different states across the country, and put the same amount of time and effort into each one in order to create a positive atmosphere for attendees while receiving top-notch instruction.

Sure, having the best coaches join us is part of what makes us the best, but it’s also because our staff is committed toward providing individual attention to each camper they come into contact with.

And skill level doesn’t matter! Children from ages 8-18 are welcome to come and improve on the court.

We also know that just because school isn’t in session doesn’t mean your schedule still isn’t full in the summer. That’s why we offer four different types of camps to those interested in joining us: Extended Day camps, Day camps, Overnight camps and adidas Tennis Tournament Training. We’ve already gone over the differences between Overnight and Day tennis camps, but what about the differences between Day and Extended Day camps?

Obviously, Extended Day camps require more of a time commitment from campers, but how do the typical daily schedules compare to one another?

Here’s what a daily schedule could look like, with notes in parenthesis on where the differences are between the two camps.

9:00am: Arrival, Stretching and Warm Up

9:15: On-Court Training

11:15: Match Play

12:00pm: Lunch, Swim

1:30: Match Situation Drills

3:00: Instruction (Day Campers depart after Instruction)

5:30: Dinner

6:30: Optional Match Play

The other big difference between these two camp offerings would be their respective prices. Cost will vary depending on which location you’re most interested in, but Extended Day camps will always be a little cheaper than Overnight camps, for obvious reasons.

However, it doesn’t matter which camp your child attends this summer, here’s what they’ll receive:

Tennis instruction from the finest tennis coaches in the country

Exhibition tennis match play

adidas summer youth tennis camp t-shirt

Camp prizes

Exciting evening an off-court activities (where applicable)

Personal tennis skill evaluation and take-away booklet

In addition to all that, your child will learn about being a good sport, perfecting their serve, improving form, playing with integrity, setting goals and preparing mentally while spending a week with us at tennis camp.

There are over 30 hours of instruction, including ample one-on-one time to make sure your child gets the personalized attention necessary to improve and take their game to the next level.

So, as you can see, there are a lot of similarities between our different camp offerings. With regard to the slight differences, it’s up to you and what fits best into your schedule. Whatever you decide, we’re looking forward to meeting you this summer for a week you definitely won’t forget!
