What advice would you give a smart, driven 14 year old athlete about to enter high school and what advice should they ignore on the other hand?
Follow your passion and pursue the things that are important to you with joy and enthusiasm. Special things can happen when you do this.
What advice or realizations, do you have for people in the coaching field who are trying to achieve their team’s potential?
Build solid relationships. Everything we do is rooted in the relationships we have with others. No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care. People want to feel appreciated and valued.
Is there a moment from your youth that set you up for career in coaching?
Learning from and working with a wide array of coaches helped me to realize there are many different ways in which to be successful. You have to choose your path and do it your way. Be yourself, be genuine.
