Do you have a quote, phrase or motto that you use on a daily basis or during tough times? or maybe something you think of often or live your life by.
Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.
What advice would you give a smart, driven 14 year old athlete about to enter high school and what advice should they ignore on the other hand?
My first advice would be to develop your ability to attract positivity and repel negativity. Control what you can control, let go of what you cannot. Situations happen every day that are not within your control. Other peoples behavior and attitudes are not in your control. However your own attitude is something you can work to control. At the end of the day get in the habit of asking yourself, did I do at least something thing today to be the best athlete, student and person that I can be? As long as the answer is yes, then you will be building a future where you reach your potential in sports and in life.
