Overview

We are offering full day all week camps, half day all week camps, and pro-rated per day rates for full day and half day.

**There will be no camp on July 4th**

Our spectacular year round tennis facility is unsurpassed in its convenience, security and amenities. It is truly a magnificent club that caters to all levels of play ages 5 and older. An ideal place to play tennis in NYC with 8 newly surfaced indoor clay tennis courts in a climate controlled environment. Please take a moment to learn more about our tennis clinics in Manhattan.

These camps are not meant for "true beginners". Campers must have tennis playing experience to join this camp.

We assess each camper's ability during the first session of camp and make sure they are grouped according to their age and abilities so this way we can tailor the drills, games, and match-play to fit their individual needs.

MUST ENROLL THE SATURDAY BEFORE THE START. ENROLLMENTS RECEIVED LATER CANNOT BE ACCEPTED.

For those who are not vaccinated, you are required to wear a mask from when you enter the building until you get to the club. Once you are in the tennis club, you can take off the mask as it is not required when you are there.

Covid-19 Policy:Vaccine is not required. If your child is not vaccinated, they need to wear a mask from the entrance of the building to the entrance of the tennis club. They do not need to wear it once they are in the tennis club.


About Our Coaches

Rick LaVere

Rick LaVere has 36 years of experience teaching tennis to people of all levels, from beginners to nationally ranked junior players.  He has playing experience at both the high school as well as at the collegiate level and coaching experience at the high school level where he coached his team to a state final.  Rick has been Manhattan for the past 5 years teaching tennis, and graduating from NYU with a Masters Degree in International Relations.


Camp Details

We are offering full day all week camps, half day all week camps, and pro-rated per day rates for full day and half day.


  • Eight Weekly Sessions: July 3-September 1, 2023

  • Intensive, customized training

  • Drilling, stroke production, footwork, video analysis and match play.

  • Ages 5 & older (advanced beginners through tournament players)

  • Weather-proof, indoor, air-conditioned facility

  • Student - teach ratio is 4:1

  • Players are grouped by age & ability.


The clinics will accommodate ages 3-13 on court dimensions consistent with USTA Quick Start guidelines.

Tennis In Manhattan is the largest provider of tennis instruction for children and adults in New York City with over 60 instructors

Full Day: Monday through Friday - 9am-4pm

Half Day: Monday through Friday - 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm

*Lunch NOT included

**Covid 19 Guidelines**

For those who are not vaccinated, you are required to wear a mask from when you enter the building until you get to the club. Once you are in the tennis club, you can take off the mask as it is not required when you are there.

This program is designed for each camper's experience to be engaging and fun while taking all precautions to prevent the spread of Covid -19 using CDC guidelines.

  • Groups will be limited in size to 4 or 6 children, depending on age.

  • Parents, caregivers and children shall wear facial coverings, per NY State law, when moving through the building lobby, hallways and facility lobby.

  • This program will be drop off only for all kids except the parents of Red Ball players. Parents and caregivers are not allowed to stay in the facility during program time. Only ONE parent or caregiver per child will be allowed to stay in the facility during lesson time.

  • Coach will be supervising and reminding children to socially distance.

  • Kids should bring their own water bottles. Water fountains will be shut off, however, kids will be able to purchase water from our Pro Shop.

  • Full Day Kids should bring their own lunches each day.

  • Parents agree on to take their child's temperature each morning prior to coming to camp, and to not send their child if the temperature is elevated (100 degrees F or greater).

  • Staff will inform parents and will isolate -- until the child is picked up -- any child showing symptoms of illness.
