Colorado State University features 12 outdoor lighted tennis courts with a 25 foot viewing area making this one of the top tennis camps in Colorado. Located in the beautiful resort town of Fort Collins, this adidas Tennis Camp is sure to sell out!
Camp is open to all ages and ability levels. We assess each camper's ability during the first session of camp and make sure they are grouped according to their age and abilities so this way we can tailor the drills, games, and match-play to fit their individual needs.
Sunday and Monday is spent evaluating skill level, learning names, and kids are placed in appropriate groups to guarantee that everyone is challenged. Level based play and having similar skilled kids hitting together is critical.
The focus of the adidas camp at CSU is on the "game based approach" to tennis. Live ball hitting and playing points is critical to a players development and progression. We will have one court set aside during camp for our 10 and unders on the orange and green dot ball. We will also have one court set aside for technique and mechanics for players interested in this approach to skill acquisition. Players will be taught all aspects of the game. We will focus on mental skills, the correct approach to playing a match, technique, mechanics, footwork patterns, etc. Tactics and shot selection and singles and doubles strategy will be covered each afternoon of camp.
