Do you have a quote, phrase or motto that you use on a daily basis or during tough times? or maybe something you think of often or live your life by.

We tell all the campers and my academy kids one line: “Make every point a war, regardless of the score”!

What advice would you give a smart, driven 14 year old athlete about to enter high school and what advice should they ignore on the other hand?

Advice to heed: Work hard, stay focused on your goals, and put your academics first…. Advice to ignore: If anyone tells you that you’re “too good for high school tennis”, that is bad advice. It’s important to be a part of a team and have some fun!

What advice or realizations, do you have for people in the coaching field who are trying to achieve their team’s potential?

Create a sense of community and family. Relationships are all that matters at the end of the day. You have to create a true team to thrive and have young people reach their potential.

Is there a moment from your youth that set you up for career in coaching?

I played high school and college tennis and it just became the passion of my life!
