Campers will enjoy Lake Forest Academy's beautiful 150 acre campus on the former J. Ogden Armour Estate.
Lake Forest Academy's campus is a safe, secure setting near Lake Michigan and is conveniently located just 30 miles north of Chicago and 20 miles from O'Hare International Airport.

About Our Coaches
Appointed Head Coach of women's tennis in 2010, Shannon Carney coaches both the short fall season and the spring season. She also teaches the tennis physical education course each semester. In addition, Carney serves on several College committees and helps recruit student-athletes. A member of the United States Tennis Professional Association for 32 years, she holds an Elite Professional ranking and competes at the local and national levels. A Professional Tennis Registry member with a rank of Professional in Adult Development.
Under Carney's leadership, Principia's women tennis has had a SLIAC Conference record of 52-8 and six players have been named player of the year.
Carney has a long list of awards and accolades including SLIAC Coach of the Year 2013, 2014, 2016. She was an NCAA Division 1 All-American for Women's Tennis for UCLA in 1979 and received the Coaches Award for Outstanding Athlete. She won the Dwight Davis Open in 2012, 2013, 2017 and 2018 as well as the USTA National Women's Indoor Singles in 2018.
Carney has also received the following memberships and certifications; Intercollegiate Tennis Association, United States Tennis Professional Association, Professional Tennis Registry, United States Tennis Association Alliance of Women Coaches, International Tennis Performance Association, SLIAC Women's Tennis Committee member from 2013–2015.
Camp Details
Overnight Campers: Check In Sunday 2-3pm at dorm TBA, Check Out Thursday 4pm at the the tennis courts.
Day Campers: Check In Monday-Thursday 9am at the tennis courts. Check out is 4pm Monday-Thursday. Lunch is Included
Campers will train and play tennis on Lake Forest Academy's 5 outdoor tennis courts.
Camp is open to all ages and ability levels. We assess each camper's ability during the first session of camp and make sure they are grouped according to their age and abilities so this way we can tailor the drills, games, and match-play to fit their individual needs.
